Fiscal Policy • Expansionary Fiscal Policy: • Used to increase spending during a recession • Increase government spending (creates jobs) • Decrease in taxes (increases consumer and business spending) • Contractionary Fiscal Policy: • Used to decrease spending if the economy is growing too quickly and/or experiencing inflation • Decrease government spending • Increase in taxes
