  2. VCC3、VCC Power Supply Short-Circuit Repair Instruction • 1. Confirm the condition of short-circuit by measuring and testing impedance from ATX POWER CONNECTOR. • 2. Make sure the power supply of short-circuit was connected to CONNECTOR, IC, CHIP based on the condition of short-circuit. Check if there has appearance damage condition (such as: Burn-out CHIP, PCI reverse PIN, capacitance prominent) and eliminate the defected parts first. • 3. Based on the condition of voltage short-circuit to connect the main device in order:1. Easily soldering IC 2. DIP capacitance 3. BGA CHIP 4. Ceramics capacitance. • (If both SB and NB CHIP are damaged, the product will be repaired by engineer after confirmed by the advisor based on the consideration of repairing cost and attempt SWAP by the well-condition parts.) • If both voltage are resulted in short-circuit, eliminate the shared device of IC and CHIP whether has short-circuit condition. • If the above power supply of short-circuit connected to the main device all being eliminated and still unable to solve, the problem should belongs to the inner PCB short-circuit, which is un-recoverable. 2

  5. VCC3 TO NB Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 was caused by NB after removed circuit of FB7.

  6. VCC3 TO SB Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 was caused by SB after removed the SB.

  7. VCC3 TO SB Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 was caused by SB after removed the SB.

  8. VCC3 TO I/O Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 was caused by I/O after removed the circuit of R59.

  9. VCC3 TO SOUND CHIP Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 was caused by SOUND CHIP after removed the resistance CR59.

  10. VCC3 TO VCC1_1 Identify whether belongs to the voltage short-circuit of VCC1_1: Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 and VCC1_1 was caused by the damages of Q47 MOSFET.

  11. VCC3 TO VCC_PLL1 Identify whether belongs to the voltage short-circuit of VCC_PLL1: Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 and VCC_PLL1 was caused by the damages of Q16 MOSFET.

  12. VCC3 TO VCC18 Identify whether belongs to the voltage short-circuit of VCC_1.8V: Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 and VCC18 was caused by the damages of Q18 MOSFET.

  13. VCC3 TO VCC1.8V Identify whether belongs to the voltage short-circuit of VCC_1.8V: Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 and VCC18 was caused by the damages of VCC_1.8V MOSFET.

  14. VCC3 TO JMB 368 Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 was caused by JMB368 CHIP after pried JMB PIN22 and PIN39.

  15. VCC3 TO 1394 CHIP Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 was caused by T_DVDD after removed the inductance of IFB2.

  16. VCC3 TO TPM CHIP Identity whether the short-circuit of VCC3 was caused by TPM IC after removed the TPM IC.

  20. VCC TO 75232 Identify whether the damaged of 75232 IC causes short-circuit of VCC after removed 75232.

  21. VCC TO PWM IC Identify whether the short-circuit of VCC was caused by 6336 IC after removed 6336.

  22. VCC TO PWM DRIVERS Identify whether the short-circuit of VCC was caused by 6620A、6609A IC after removed the resistance DR16、DR4 、DR27、 DR1、 DR22、 DR34。

  23. VCC TO DDRVTT Identify whether the short-circuit of VCC was caused by the RT9199 CHIP after removed RT9199.

  24. VCCTO 5VDUAL Identify whether the 5VDUAL short-circuitof voltage, Q97 MOSFET damages caused VCC and 5VDUAL result in short-circuit condition.
