  1. JJ JamiesonJGC Chair Future JGC Leadership May 30, 2013 Salt Lake City, UT

  2. Background • JGC leadership has traditionally come from standing committee vice chairs • Goals: • Share the commitment • Different backgrounds • Provide opportunity for vice chairs to gain experience • Rotation schedule codified in the JGC Charter

  3. Background • Workloads have often made it difficult for some vice-chairs to serve in the JGC leadership rotation • Do we need to change the pool from which the JGC leadership is selected?

  4. Upcoming Vice Chairs • MIC: Kathy Anderson • OC: Scott Kinney • PCC: Brian Keel • TEPPC: Mike Evans

  5. Possible Changes • Allow Committee chairs to also act as JGC chair/vice-chair • Allow subcommittee chairs to act as JGC chair/vice-chair • Allow the Committees who are next in rotation identify a member of their committee to serve as chair/vice chair
