Which Hand do I Use?

  • Signs that are 1 handed

    • Only use one hand to sign

  • Signs that are 2- handed symmetrical

    • Signs that both hands are used and they sign the same thing

  • Signs that are 2-handed non-symmetrical

    • Signs where both hands are used but your dominant and non dominant hand do not do the same thing

  • With your partner come up with a list of words that you only use 1 hand with.

  • Try to think of good signs/signs you have seen and can explain/ask what they mean

  • When scoring: if another team has the same word, no one gets the point. If no other team has the word, you get a point!
