  2. What's the United Unaccompanied Minor Policy? It is the United Airlines Unaccompanied Minor service that lets the minor who is not accompanied be always monitored by the dedicated ground staff and the flight attendants who are onboard. The service begins when you check in and continues until the minor is not accompanied and taken care of by an adult such as the legal guardian or parent.

  3. How much are United Minor fees for unaccompanied children? • The cost structure for United minors that are unaccompanied does not apply per child, however, it is per child and parent. The charges for United minors who are not accompanied are the following for international and domestic flights: • One to two children traveling $150 for each trip • Children ranging from 3 to 4 traveling together: $300 per way • 5 to 6 children traveling for $450 each

United Minor Rules that are not accompanied Age requirements Travelers between 15-17 years old can travel by themselves, but they are not able to be a guardian for anyone who is 14 years old or less. Anyone who is 18 years old can travel with a person between the ages of five and 14 and not be required to use United airlines unaccompanied minor policy.

  5. Non-stop Minors who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian can only travel non-stop on United as well as United Express flights. In addition, minors without a companion cannot travel on codeshare flights as well as other United flights operated by partner airlines.

  6. Seating Unaccompanied minors are not allowed to choose their seats prior to departure due to the fact that United has total control over the minor's seat choice. The only way to know which seat the minor is without a parent is to place at least 48 hours before departure.

  7. Non-stop Minors who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian can only travel non-stop on United as well as United Express flights. In addition, minors without a companion cannot travel on codeshare flights as well as other United flights operated by partner airlines.
