  1. No End In Sightresponse Shelby Martin

  2. What surprised and angered me the most? • Before I watched the movie, I was unaware to how poorly planned the war on terror was. • It was a shock to me how easily weapons could be accessed. • I never knew how the US did not aid at all to help stop the looting in Iraq.

  3. What Every American Should Know. • Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Even George Bush has now admitted this. However, over the last six years, and still to this day, Bush constantly conflates the two in almost every speech he gives, to the point where in 2003 sixty-nine percent of Americans came to believe that Saddam had been behind the 9/11 attacks. • There can be little doubt that the administration used 9/11 to justify the invasion of Iraq, though they had nothing whatsoever to do with each other.

  4. US Spending In Iraq: • Spent & Approved War-Spending - About $900 billion of US taxpayers' funds spent or approved for spending through Sept 2010. • U.S. 2009 Monthly Spending in Iraq - $7.3 billion as of Oct 2009 • U.S. 2008 Monthly Spending in Iraq - $12 billion • U.S. Spending per Second - $5,000 in 2008 (per Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on May 5, 2008)

  5. The Iraqi Government:How It Is Today • The U.S. military handed over control of a prison holding some 2,900 detainees to Iraqi authorities on Monday as the Americans move ahead with preparations for a full withdrawal by the end of 2011. • At the Iraqi government's request, the U.S. will continue to hold about 100 detainees who pose a high security risk.

  6. In The Future • In the future I hope that we will be better prepared, especially in places like Afghanistan, Iran.. Etc. • The leadership should have better awareness of the situation, and do more to help individuals living in these situations.
