  1. CSCS Card Types by Construction Safety Support

  2. AQP CSCS Card - Academically Qualified Person The Academically Qualified Person (AQP) CSCS card marks its holder is a graduate or certificate holder from one or more of a list of accepted programmes. It further shows that they possess sufficient competence to work on a construction site.

  3. Black CSCS Card - Manager Card Achievement of a relevant Construction Management/Technical related NVQ/SVQ level 5, 6 or 7. A SVQ Level 4 in Construction Management/Technical related qualification or Holding a pre-existing NVQ level 4 in construction management.

  4. Blue CSCS Card - Skilled Worker You can apply for this card if you have either Achieved a construction related NVQ or SVQ level 2

  5. CRO CSCS Card - Construction Related Occupation The Construction Related Occupation (CRO) CSCS card is intended for members of those construction-related professions which need to access construction sites, but do not fall into any other CSCS Card category or have no relevant NVQ available

  6. Gold CSCS Card - Advanced Craft This Card is available for who Achieved a Construction Related NVQ or SVQ level 3. Completed an approved indentured apprenticeship (e.g.with NJCBI, BATJIC etc.). Completed an employer sponsored apprenticeship which included the achievement of a City and Guilds of London Institute Advanced Craft Certificate.

  7. Gold CSCS Card - Supervisor This card is available for supervisor and technical occupations subject to the achievement of a Construction Related Supervisory/Technical NVQ or SVQ level 3 or 4

  8. PQP CSCS Card - Professionally Qualified Person This card is available to competence assessed members of CSCS approved Professional Bodies.

  9. Red CSCS Card - Apprentice This card is available to people who have commenced on a recognised apprenticeship framework. This card is valid for four years and six months, and cannot be renewed.

  10. Red CSCS Card - Experienced Technical, Supervisor or Manager If you have at least one year in the last three years construction site experience as a technician, supervisor or manager and are working towards gaining a construction qualification, then this temporary card is ideal.

  11. Red CSCS Card - Provisional This card is for people who are working through probationary periods while employers assess their suitability for employment.

  12. Red CSCS Card - Trainee This temporary card is available if you are a trainee and registered to complete a construction related qualification. The qualification may be vocational, academic or professional, but must be acceptable for a CSCS card.
