Progress made since February 2016 • Social protection • Methodology methodological documents from the ESSPROS Task force discussed and approved at the Working Group on Social Protection Statistics (WGSPS)in April 2016 validation rules presented at the WGSPS have been approvedin April 2016. data comparison between ESSPROS statistics and national accounts for countries Nextstep: ESSPROS Task force meeting Nov 2016

  5. Progress made since February 2016 • Social protection • Early estimates for ESSPROS main indicators Analysis of possibilities to produce early main indicators for social protection. Two NSIs involved thus far with bilateral meetings Nextstep: ESSPROS Task force meeting Nov 2016

  6. Progress made since February 2016 • Social protection • Data on beneficiaries and ESSPROS/EU-SILC Analysis of data on the characteristics of beneficiaries from EU-SILC is being conducted in cooperation with unit F4 and with countries Next step: presentation at WGSPS in 2017.

  7. Progress made since February 2016 • Education A preliminary study for satellite accounts of education and training has started in September 2016 and will last six months Contacts are being made with countries possessing experience in this field in order to organise bilateral meetings on various technical aspects Next step: presentation of results in 2017.

  8. Involvement of countries in this project • Eurostat makes efforts to develop the project in close cooperation with experts at national level in the different areas. • The Working Groups will discuss results progressively achieved. • Task Force ESSPROS • Cooperation with national accounts is important also at the country level. • Country visits
