  3. Preciousness • Highly valued and loved • She sensed the preciousness of each day.

  4. Garment • A Piece of clothing • He replaced the suit in the flimsy Sears garment bag.

  5. Covertly • Not intended to be seen or found • Why would I hide somewhere covertly puffing away cigarettes?

  6. Eternity • Time without beginning or end • After an eternity of cheek-pinching the lady held me at arm’s length.

  7. Stern • Rigid, strict, and uncompromising • Herold asked in a stern voice how my day was.

  8. Rumpled • A wrinkle or a crease • I plucked my rumpled clothes from my gym bag.

  9. Glared • Expressing anger or another negative emotion • She glared at me with the most wicked look I have ever seen.

  10. Yielded • To give way or give further resistance. • The girl yielded herself when she opened the door.

  11. Throbbed • A steady beat • Cole’s heart raced and throbbed.

  12. Shrouded • A covering or a shield • Constant rain and Shrouded gray sky masked the passing of hours.

  13. Sauntered • To walk at an uneasy pace • It raised its head and sauntered away.

  14. Ambled • To walk in a relaxed way • He swung around and ambled silently toward the waterline.

  15. Abruptly • Sudden and unexpected • Abruptly, the breezing stopped.

  16. Spasms • An involuntary sudden muscle contraction • Chills wracked his body in uncontrolled spasms.

  17. Favorite Book • The Lost Boy • It was my favorite book because the story is so real and it really touches your heart. • The book was Non-fiction

  18. Favorite Author • Hannah Bernard. • Hannah is my favorite author because she makes her stories so funny and they make you want to keep reading and not put the book down.
