  19. IRRInet-ACE

  20. IRRInet-ACE - General IRRInet-ACE is ACE3600 with the Irrigation (IRRIV) Application IRRInet-ACE is available as MASTER only IRRInet-ACE supports ALL of the ACE3600 I/O Modules IRRInet-ACE does not have DC latch I/O Board – can use IRRInet-M DC for this purpose

  21. Master of remote I/O at IRRInet-M Slave/Router MDLC Connection to ICC PIU Connectivity (Piccolo-XR) IRRInet-ACE – RS485 Port Options MDLC Slave/Router Legacy Scorpio/Impact

  22. Connection to ICC Serving as an FIU Master of remote I/O at IRRInet-M Slave/Router MDLC Connection to ICC PIU Connectivity (Piccolo-XR) IRRInet-ACE – RS232 Port Options MDLC Slave/Router Legacy Scorpio/Impact

  23. MDLC Connection to ICC MDLC Connection to ICC MDLC Connection to Slave MDLC Connection to Slave IRRInet-ACE – Radio Port Options MDLC Slave (anywhere in the Communication Network)

  24. MDLC Connection to ICC MDLC Connection to ICC MDLC Connection to Slave MDLC Connection to Slave IRRInet-ACE – Ethernet Port Options MDLC Pending the availability of a terminal server supporting PPP (like the IP Soap-Dish) – OR use GPRS modem (available now)

  25. IRRInet-ACE supports Master Application Only 500 Outputs 500 Inputs 400 Programs 400 Groups 100 Fertilizer Pumps 100 Filter Batteries 250 Main Lines Capacity IRRInet-ACE - SW Features

  26. Legacy and “New” Field-Units - Migration

  27. Q: When should I use IRRInet-M and when should I use IRRInet-ACE?A: Below… MDLC FIU IRRInet-ACE IRRInet-M ICC • Design Guidelines: • Communication Media • larger variety (Ethernet built-in) on IRRInet-ACE • Line needed? Available ONLY on IRRInet-M • Number of needed Ports (only 3 on IRRInet-M, 5 on IRRInet-ACE • I/O specification • DC solenoids, only on IRRInet-M • Analog I/O only on IRRInet-ACE • I/O count • Up to 24 Outputs and 8 inputs on IRRInet-M, up to 8 Modules on IRRInet-ACE • Custom Programmability (RUNGS) needed? Only on IRRInet-ACE • Weather Station (WeatherCon) support? Only on IRRInet-ACE • Analog needed? Only on IRRInet-ACE

  28. Please note! Load IRRIV Master for direct connection to ICC or, Load IRRIV Slave with PRIS protocol to report to the legacy IRRInet-XL/XM Upgrade to MDLC later! Q: I need to add a new device to a network that already has Scorpio(s) or IRRIcom(s). What do I do?A: Below… FIU MDLC ICC IRRInet XL/XM IRRIcom Scorpio IRRInet-M

  29. Option A Option B Q: I have an IRRInet XL/XM I need to replace, or add. What do I do?A: Below… FIU MDLC ICC IRRInet-ACE IRRInet XL/XM Master IRRInet-M

  30. Please note! The IRRInet-M will route the PRIS commands to the legacy units. It may serve, at the same time, as a Slave unit as well. Q: I need to add IRRInet-ACE, but this unit MUST operate the legacy Scorpio, IRRIcom or Impact. What do I do?A: Below… MDLC FIU ICC IRRInet-ACE RS485 IRRInet XL/XM IRRInet-M Router Slave Impact Scorpio IRRIcom IRRIcom Link is NOT supported (hard-coded timing in IRRIcom prevents)!

  31. A. Connect IRRInet-M to the IRRInet-ACE to serve as its I/O board (AC and/or DC) Q: The IRRInet-ACE does not have dedicated Modules for Irrigation, So…?A: Below… MDLC FIU ICC IRRInet-ACE RS485 IRRInet-M B. Use the ACE’s Relay I/O Module for AC solenoids, or any other ACE original I/O Module suitable for irrigation

  33. Type of radio network protocol – MDLC or INTRAC (PRIS) should ALWAYS be considered and appropriate radio path study performed. Warm-up time and channel monitor resolution should be equal in all radio types and configured to the worst case time (longest). When adding new IRRInet-M to a radio link all existing units’ warm-up time should be increased to 400msec. All radios must be configured to the same channel spacing (12.5 or 25Khz) The combination of RTU and Radio audio response must be either Flat or Pre-emphasis De-Emphasis across ALL radios. Mobile radios, like CM200, CDM750 should be configured to Flat audio mode. Portable radios, like HT750, GP320 are by default configured to Pre/De-Emphasis. They should be reconfigured to Flat audio mode if this is required for the radio link. Basic design guidelines, per radio link, to consider…
