  4. Impact of recent changes • Statutory functions remain. • Understanding CCGs = Commissioning • GPs as providers • LMC representing GPs as providers • No more PCT • NHS England

  5. Role of YORLMC • Representing core values • In representing the core values of the profession LMCs will strive to ensure the values of:- • equity and fairness • openness • equal opportunities • representativeness

  6. What does YORLMC do? • Support practices:- • In discussions with other bodies • With internal problems • By “looking out” for Primary Care interests • LMC access to legal opinion • LMC buying group

  7. What does YORLMC do? • Support individual GPs:- • All GPs- partners, salaried/sessional, locums, trainees, GMS, PMS. • Pastoral care and advice • Occupational health issues • When fitness to practice is questioned • Liaison with other bodies • Remuneration, T&C, employment issues • Revalidation

  8. What does YORLMC do? • Review contractual issue and provisions:- • Responsive • Proactively • Inform practices • Newsletter • Mailings • Website • Educational events
