  1. Journal: 03 September 2013 What do you think are the main differences between the words secular and religious? Make a two column list with things that fall into either of these two categories: secular or religious.

  2. Two Tiers of Truth To what extent have we bought into the two tiered system?

  3. Philosophical Naturalism The presuppositional belief that only natural laws and forces (as opposed to supernatural forces) operate in the world. Philosophical naturalists believe that nothing exists beyond the natural realm.

  4. Naturalism 1: List things that a naturalist believes exists 2: List things that a naturalist doesn’t believe exists. 3: What do you believe exists that a naturalist doesn’t?

  5. Does a naturalist believe in… Water? Miracles? Dinosaurs? Laws of Physics? God? Love? Truth? Mind?

  6. Objective Subjective Based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions Not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts

  7. SECULAR? RELIGIOUS? Based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions Not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts

  8. Objective Subjective Orange Starbursts are gross. Harry Potter is better than Twilight. Water is two hydrogen atoms and an oxygen atom. Harry Potter is a series of movies.

  9. Lenses Who is biased? Naturalists, Super-naturalists, Theists, Atheists?

  10. Is it possible to not wear lenses? Is this a good thing or bad thing for Christianity?
