  5. Short – term goals for David • Medical treatment for head injury and feet • Assessment for mental health needs • Build a rapport • Stabilise abusive and threatening behaviour

  6. Long term goals • Accommodation – temporary and then permanent • Jobs skill training – volunteer work • Social services and community support • Community re-entry building on social skills • Exploration of skills and interests • Health and Nutritional education

  7. Obstacles • Reluctance to co-operate and involve in treatment • Multi-diagnosis • Lack of insight to condition • Lack of ability to look at long-term goals • Previous experience of health service may not have been positive
