  3. Objective • Help you consider • how strong your need for control is with the people whom you interact • the impact of your need to control • differences in need for control

  4. Debriefing - 1 • What differences did you notice in your need to control employees? • Can you identify an emotional memory imbedded in your amygdala that exacerbates this need? • e.g., a time when you were not in control and things did not go well

  5. Debriefing - 2 • Was your need to control proportional to your confidence in the person’s ability to do the job? Elaborate. • Was your need to control proportional to your trust level regarding this person’s attitude? • e.g., negative attitudes may incite need to control

  6. Debriefing - 3 • Rather than just “letting go,” what actions could you take with the individual whom you have indicated a strong need to control? • What other strategies could you use with people whom you have a strong need to control?
