  1. Definite tourist reasons to visit Texas

  2. Rodeo We couldn't start with anything else! Texas's main industry since the civil war has been cattle, and due to its long history as a center of the industry, the best places in Texas are associated with the image of the cowboy. • 2) Its so big! Texas is mainly the second biggest state in the US behind Alaska and nearly three times bigger than the UK! So, Texas is so diverse, offering different climates and dramatically diverse landscapes – such as the gulf coast beaches, piney woods, the desolation of West Texas and the East Texas swamps.

  3. 3) Beaches Texas isn't exactly known for its beaches, but with over 600 miles of coastal beaches around the Gulf of Mexico, places to visit near Texas is always one of the best places in the US if you’re a fan of crashing out, relaxing beside the sea or playing a game of volleyball with your buddies. 4) History People may also knock America for its lack of history, but you certainly couldn't accuse Texas of this. The nickname ‘The Lone Star State’ is mainly a subtle reminder of Texas’ struggle for independence from Mexico in 1836 and of Texas’ status as a former independent republic mainly in the 9 years following until they became the 28th US state in 1845.

  4. 5) Food ‘Everything is bigger in Texas!’ – including your food! Big yummy meat, big BBQ's, big flavors and a mix of Native American, Mexican and of course American cuisine make Texas dining a unique experience. 6) The Culture Texas is also a cultural hotbed for arts with a thriving music scene, particularly in Austin, which is known as the mainly Live Music Capital of the World, and museums aplenty, especially in Houston. So, go to the tourist places in Texas and enjoy the fullest.
