  2. Why Education ? • Aristotle “..the fate of empires depends on the education of the youth.” Whatever good or bad that you see today in the society is directly linked to the kind of education we give to our youth.

What is Education ? • Education is that which remains, when one has forgotten all that he learned in school • The most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not… • Education is not filling a bucket but lighting a fire.

  7. Learning to Do • Acquire not just occupational skills but also the competence to deal with many situations and work in teams • Learning to do in the context of various social and work experiences which may be formal as well as informal

  8. Learning tolive together • By developing an understanding of other people and appreciation of interdependence – carrying out joint projects • Manage conflicts in the spirit of respect for the values of pluralism, mutual understanding and peace.

  9. Learning to BE • So as to better develop one’s personality • Act with greater autonomy, judgment and personal responsibility • Enable flowering of allpotentials
