  1. Integrated High Dynamic Range GPS Receiver array with Digital Beamforming for Interference Mitigation RF interference in the GPS band, such as UWB radio, television, terrestrial radiolocation etc, has been a growing concern over the past years. Although the GPS spread-spectrum signal provides some inherent protection, in-band interferers with enough power are able to deny the use of GPS due to its extremely weak power. Smart antenna systems based on adaptive beamforming techniques are often used to provide reliable position identifications against in-band interference. This GPS receiver project is to develop an RF system, combining an L-band receiver array and an adaptive blind beamformer. The high dynamic range receiver array passes the GPS signal and interferers with minimal distortion, and providing gain control to match the ADC input. The blind beamformer then extract and suppress the interferers adaptively without the need to know its direction. High dynamic range and compact circuitry to favour the dense integration are the main design criteria.
