3. STEP 1: • Find a project (keep it simple). • Must involve an experiment • Samples (last 6 pages of packet)

4. STEP 2: • Research • State problem in the form of a question. • HYPOTHESIS – educated guess

5. STEP 3: Test Hypothesis • Do your experiment (let the student do it – make sure project is at their level). • Collect Data (observations, what happens, what doesn’t happen)

6. STEP 4: Organize and Analyze Data - prove or disprove your hypothesis - draw conclusions

The timeline for the Science Fair will be as follows: • February 28th at 3:30 pm Science Fair Parent Meeting • March 18th Project Selection Form Due Turn in to student’s teacher • April 15th Tri-board due in class • April 19th *Science Fair - Award Ceremony in Gym 1:30 pm *parents are invited to attend awards ceremony only
