  13. Groups of Jews Judaism Didn’t like Roman rule – hoped god to send Messiah and free Jews. Pharisees observed Jewish laws, thought people could come back to life. Zealotsopposed to pay tax. Sadducees supported Jewish tradition, but also helped Roman rule. Others isolated themselves in deserts
