  1. My history ZanCamaraPresident of Malian stuttering association Email:  camarazan@hotmail.com I started to stutter at an early age by imitation of a family member. Over time my stuttering got worse without realizing the burden that I would bear thirty years later. At this time the extent of stuttering was ignored in families and in society. It was very difficult to overcome this burden. So I found myself alone affected by stuttering in my childhood friends and class. My classmates did not tolerate my stuttering and I could not make myself understood, to speak  and to thrive. Worse, I was the object of mockery, imitation and I could not fully participate in games and during class. The teacher did not know that stuttering was a handicap for people who stutter and also ignores the negative consequences suffered by the stutterer).. Therefore, the school environment as well as family  disregards the burden of stuttering on the stutterer.

  2. Thus family, when I started to stutter, on loud cry for me correct that deepened my level of stuttering. In my heart I had trouble digesting this situation because with my friends I was the object of mockery and provocation because of my stuttering. To exit from stuttering, I happened to use traditional practices which are: slap with a shoe, drinking water. washing utensils, drinking a combination of traditional plant, me or throw eggs on your face when you start to stutter. Despite all attempts at treatment, nothing has changed and my stutteringpersists. With the advent of the Internet in Mali, I decided to do some research on modern methods of treatment and to understand more about the different types of  stuttering through the website of the Association speech Stuttering France. This research gave me a lot of satisfaction, hope and courage to fight against my stuttering.

  3. So I joined the association Overcoming Stuttering created by Ms. Diallo in 2005 to better cope with the handicap of stuttering and help especially my fellow stutterers who suffer from stuttering. With this association I became a leader in the fight against stuttering in Mali. Today we managed to get a lot of people and children stutter isolation and demystified stuttering in Mali.Today we were able to help or support many comrades who stutter overcome their stuttering.THANK
