  2. Experience • Entering my 11th year in BCPSS • Served as Physical Education teacher for grades Pre-K – 8 for 6 years • Served as Assistant Principal at RPEMS for 3 years • Served as Managing Assistant Principal at Francis Scott Key Elementary/Middle School during 2011-2012 school year

  4. Goals • Increase student achievement in all areas • Improve school climate • Prepare students to be successful at the next level • Collaboration, communication, and transparency

Managing Assistant Principal • Managing Assistant Principal is a title used by the Baltimore City Public School System to appoint individuals as interim or acting principal of a school • The MAP assumes all roles, responsibilities, and accountability of a school principal • The MAP serves the school until a permanent principal is selected • The MAP can apply to become the permanent school principal

Principal Selection Process • Principal selection committee is formed by the school’s SFC • Principal selection committee conducts interviews with potential candidates • Principal selection committee ranks candidates and submits names to North Avenue representatives • North Avenue administrators conduct interviews with selected candidates and assigns permanent principal
