  1. Online Auburn Student Information System A Guide for New Students

  2. What is OASIS? • OASIS, or the Online Auburn Student Information System, is an Auburn student’s source for all academic information. • It includes information about registration, class schedules, unofficial transcripts, credits earned and many more important academic topics.

  3. Logging on to OASIS Access the Auburn University homepage at www.auburn.edu.

  4. Logging on to OASIS Click on “Students”

  5. Logging on to OASIS Click on “OASIS”

  6. Logging on to OASIS Type in your Student ID and PIN number.

  7. Logging on to OASIS Click “Login”.

  8. The Main OASIS Screen This main OASIS screen appears once you log into the system.

  9. Using OASIS to Register Click the “Registration” Menu and select “Drop Add Classes”

  10. Using OASIS to Register Select Term and Click “Submit”

  11. Using OASIS to Register Your Name Here This is the top of the Drop/Add screen. Scroll to the bottom.

  12. Using OASIS to Register Type in the call numbers for your desired classes and click “Submit”

  14. Using OASIS to Register The courses that you were able to register for appear in the “Currently Registered Classes” box.

  16. What happens if I don’t get a class I wanted? • Don’t worry! • You can search for other sections of the class in the “Course Section Search” portion of OASIS.

  17. Course Sections Click “Course Sections” under the “Courses” Menu

  18. Course Sections Select the next class term and click “Submit”

  19. Course Sections Select the Department where your class is offered and click “Submit”

  20. Course Sections Select the class in which you want to enroll. Remember that if there are no seats available, the class will not appear!

  21. Course Sections • Check to see if there are open seats in that class you want. • If there are open seats, click on the call number to enroll. • The Time the Class is offered and the location of the class are also displayed on this page.

  22. Course Sections The class you wanted to add is now added to your schedule.

  23. OASIS Warnings and Alerts OASIS has several ways of alerting you to problems and warnings. This is the alert symbol in OASIS. It is usually shown when information has been updated. It also appears when the system was unable to complete a task, such as registering for a class or performing a drop/add. This is the stop symbol in OASIS. It appears when a student is ineligible to register, is not admitted for a term, has a hold in the system, and several other instances.

  24. Checking for holds in OASIS If you are unable to register because of a hold in the system, go to the main OASIS screen and click “holds” under the “Student Records” Menu.

  25. Checking for holds in OASIS If any holds have been placed on the student, they will appear here. The type of hold and the office that has placed the hold will also be shown. To remove the hold contact the office that placed the hold.

  26. When To Register To find out when your class( Junior, Senior, etc.) can register go to the Academic Calendar in the Auburn University Home Page.

  27. When To Register Now, looking at the left, scroll down to Registration

  28. When To Register Now, Scroll down and you will find the day your class registers. On that date registration begins at 7 AM sharp!

  29. Changing Your PIN Number To change your OASIS PIN number that you will receive at advising, click “Change PIN” in the “Personal Info” Menu on the main OASIS screen.

  30. Changing Your PIN Number Follow the steps on the next screen to successfully change your PIN number.
