Probleemstelling • Literatuuronderzoek  mentale stoornissen: 25% Lifetime prevalentie (Demyttenaere et al, 2004)  stemmingsstoornissen: 6,2% Jaarprevalentie (Demyttenaere et al, 2004)  depressie: 5,15% Jaarprevalentie (Kovess-Masfétyet al.,2005)  Heropname 45% bipolair 41% unipolair (Goldberg, Harrow, & Grossman, 1995) • Praktijksituatie in een psychiatrisch ziekenhuis  Heropnamecijfers bij depressie 20% (MPG-gegevens) • Grote economische en maatschappelijke impact (Daniels, Kirby, Hay, & Jones, 1998)

  5. Doelstellingen Onderzoek naar • Prevalentie van heropname bij depressie • Factoren die bijdragen tot heropname • Gericht actieplan om herval bij patiënten met depressieve stoornissen te verminderen en herintegratie te optimaliseren

  7. Fase 1  Analyse van MPG Retrospectief onderzoek Steekproef • Vijf psychiatrische ziekenhuizen in Limburg en omstreken • MPG-gegevens van opgenomen patiënten (18-65j) van 1998 tot 2008 (n= 53342) • Hoofddiagnose depressieve stoornis volgens DSM IV bij ontslag (n = 4349)

Fase 1  Analyse van MPG Beschrijving steekproef Geslacht •  42% mannen (n=1657) •  58% vrouwen (n=2289) Aantal opnames • 82,49% eerste opname (n=2849) • 13,25% tweede opname (n=455) • 2,36% 3de opname (n=81) • 1,90% >3 opnames (n=65) Heropname binnen 3 mdn. na ontslag • 16% (n= 705) heropname <3mdn na ontslag

  9. Fase 1  Analyse van MPG Statistische analyse • Univariate analyses: bivariate tabellen: Chi² • Multivariate analyses:logistische regressie en survivalanalyse  De weerhouden significante variabelen blijken voor beide modellen vaak dezelfde.
