  8. My boss wanted to send someone to Valencia to learn a new language. He said it’d help the company attract more business from abroad. I really wanted to do it, but he picked him. All because he’d done a language before…… Having at least one foreign language keeps you one step ahead………

  9. I can’t believe she got the pay rise instead of me! And all because she can speak French to the people at our Paris offices…… If only I’d taken a language qualification………
