  6. Completely Renewed Syllabus for 2012 Spring

  7. Today

  8. Drawing; Why we need? Cavedrawing at Lascaux near Montignac in 1941. Human need to tell what they see or think. Then drawing is essential. Ancient Egypt Tombs pharaohsPictures Great Pyramids and Sphinx

  9. Technical Drawing Da Vinci was a great technical fellow. His artworks are good examples for technical drawings.

  10. Engineering Drawing is a serious work < In your Engineering life, you will “do” your own drawings or “review” others’. Therefore, please pay attention to the class for being succesful in your engineering life on site or at the office.

  11. Technical Drawing Instruments Namely: Paper Drawing board Ruler (30cm) Miter (45 or 30degree) Angular miter Pencils Erasers

  12. Paper German Standarts (DIN476) Half of A0 = A1 Half of A1 = A2 Half of A2 = A3 Half of A3 = A4 Half of A4 = A5 Half of A5 = A6 Half of A6 = A7 Half of A7 = A8

  13. Good Old Days Drawing board, Ruler (30cm), Miter (45 or 30degree), Angular miter, Pencils, Erasers

  14. Line Types Line type is the ABC of technical drawing

  15. Drawing Environment 3 dimensional (3D) 2 dimensional (2D)

  16. Computer Aided Design (CAD) There are numerous CAD programs. We will use AutoCAD that is the most popular editor among the engineers and architects.

  17. AutoCAD AutoCAD is a software application for computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting in both 2D and 3D. It provides a complete drawing environment. There are various advantages in drafting and editing. Possible to share and collaborate with others via web. Became a common point between engineers and architects. Extremely necessary for engineers in developing the site drawings. Extendable to other engineering programs. There is no alternative way for the close future.

  18. AutoCAD Interface

  19. AutoCAD => SAP2000 We will use in the other engineering programs.
