  21. Paradigm ! Old: I notice my message-waiting indicator & listen to voicemail on my phone. New: Voicemail is sent to your email inbox, at which point you can listen to it on your computer and/or read a transcribed version (“unified messaging”). ACTI-CCM at EDUCAUSE Annual Conference 2012

  23. Paradigm ! Old: Leverage caller ID to decide whether or not to answer my phone. New: Program custom call-handling via a self-serve portal.   27. Paradigm ! Old: I pay the telecom dept. / my local telephony provider to move my phone. New: Moving to another desk/room/building/campus? Unplug your phone & plug it in at your new location.
