  2. So why Carbon? Why do we use carbon to measure environmental impact? Why do you think it’s called a “carbon footprint”?

  4. My Carbon Footprint • Under your Classswork tab, open the GoogleSheet. • Complete the questions. • Answer the questions on the next slide.

  5. MY CARBON FOOTPRINT Carbon footprint is the amount of greenhouse gas emissions caused by a person. Open the GoogleSheets in BrightSpace to calculate your carbon footprint ÷ 48 = 48 2316 That’s how many 🌳 are needed to offset or cancel out your carbon footprint!! Greenhouse gases are gases that trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere. These gases cause global warming. The lower your carbon footprint, the fewer greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere.

  7. Your Carbon Footprint • Choose 4 colors. (The directions say red, yellow, green, and brown). • Read the statement. • On the diagram, start coloring from the INSIDE ring.
