Include an equation, 2 strategies, and a sentence that answers the question. • 1. Frosty and Rudolph wrapped 34 presents. Rudolph gave 10 presents to his reindeer friends. Frosty gave 11 presents to his snowman buddies. How many presents are left? • Snoopy and Woodstock were making snowballs. Snoopy made 27 snowballs. Woodstock only made 19 snowballs. How many more snowballs did Snoopy make than Woodstock. • 3. Write your own winter subtraction story problem to match the following equation: • 39-18 • 4. Now solve your word problem – show your work! Reading/Writing: Try and use these words correctly in your conversations at home. Vocabulary Words:commotion, fret, soothe, protest, conflict, harmony Read the story and answer each question in a complete sentence. Kelly loved playing soccer with her friends. She wanted to score a goal for her team. The ball was coming quickly towards Kelly. Kelly kicked. She scored! Kate felt exhilarated that she had helped her team. 1.
