Fire Safety Program Idea • I did a simple program this October for National Fire Prevention week. • I found some fire safety tips that were relevant to dorm life, printed them to labels, and stuck them to index cards. • To finish it off, I taped a packet of Smarties to each card and handed them out to people in my classes.

  3. Fire Safety Bulletin Board Idea • Use your Student Handbook, Residential Life Handbook, and the internet to find information about fire safety • Print the information on large labels and stick on different colored paper • Add photos & pictures • Have some facts printed on index cards with Smarties candies attached to the board to catch students attention. Mark the area with the cards “Take one” so residents interact with the board.

  4. This was was simple, easy, and very effective.
