Overview

  • Scattering related biases due to aerosols and undetected clouds including thin (sub-visual) cirrus clouds are expected to dominate the error budget (see below) esp. w.r.t. XCO2 systematic errors (biases)

  • Within this study this aspect has been studied in detail using different approaches

    • Details will be presented in the following presentations

  • Here we present

    • a short overview about the different retrieval methods used to study this important aspect and present

    • a first preliminary CarbonSat XCO2 and XCH4 error budget
