Our Objectives • Give clear guidelines to decision makers on when and how BRT projects can effectively enhance mobility and meet accessibility needs. • Support the successful deployment of BRT, through the identification and effective communication of the conditions necessary for success at the strategic, tactical and operational decision levels.

  9. 2010 for the ALC-BRT CoE • LS2: Exploring the Complexity of Policy Design • Understand decision processes and develop formal structure for retrospective analysis • Surveys and case studies will be developed, aiming at qualitative and quantitative findings • Design a system dynamic simulation tool • Develop guidelines on policy packaging for BRT

LT3) Determine key elements of higher stakeholder perception LT4) Develop guidelines for planning, design and financing of integrated BRT-based public transport systems. LT5) Modelling reliability, cost, travel times, safety, comfort and other relevant variables LT6) BRT elements for high quality and high productivity bus services LO1) Explore innovative ways to manage and control BRT services.
