  5. How do I project from my computer? Make sure the projector and the laptop are both on. Press the FN button and the F8 or F4button at the same time. This should toggle the image of your computer through the projector. Sometimes you need to do this more than once. Still not working? Make sure the white cover on top of the projector is all the way open or the projector will not work. Press “Source search” on the projector to find the source for the laptop. If the camera is also on at the same time, try pressing the “PC” button on the camera to switch to the computer.

  6. Other Nuts and Bolts of the Projector What if the projector only shows a black screen? • Make sure the projector is ON. • Make sure the white cover on top of the projector is slid all the way open, or it won’t work. • Try pressing “source search” on the projector to search for the device that is on. How do I turn off the projector? 1. Press the power button twice.

  7. Good morning! • Write objectives • Give directions • Warm-up • Review of material from previous class

  8. Use PowerPoint for Instruction As students enter the room, they're probably wondering, "What are we going to do today?“ Solution = make one PowerPoint.  Each day, change your objectives or warm-up and click "Save As" and rename it with that date.  The next day, open the show, edit the information, and click "Save As" with the new date.  By the end of the year you'll have 180 PowerPoint shows that you can always use again in the future.  This will save a lot of elbow grease you would have spent erasing the board!
