  2. The Official FFA Emblem is comprised of 7 significant elements.

  3. Each element represents important aspects of the FFA.

  4. The Corn represents the common interest in agriculture. Corn is grown in all states, and is worth more than all the gold mined in America.

  5. The Eagle is made of 4 parts: The Eagle - National bird

  6. Eagle The Arrows - symbolizes our ability to wage offensive action for our nation

  7. Eagle The Olive Branch - symbolizes our desire for world peace.

  8. Eagle The Shield - symbolizes our ability and readiness to defend our nation

  9. Eagle The Eagle symbolizes the national scope of the FFA.

  10. The Owl

  11. OWL The Owl is the symbol of Knowledge and Wisdom - two indispensable items in Agriculture Education

  12. The Plow

  13. The Plow is the symbol of Labor. Without labor, neither knowledge or wisdom could accomplish much.

  14. Rising sun

  15. The Rising Sun is a symbol of the New Day.

  16. With a new day comes new hope and effort. A bright future beckons at the dawning of the next generation, YOU!

  17. The FFA is the Leadership Development arm of Agricultural Education

  18. FFA goals include developing competent, self assured, and prepared leaders in agriculture and our nation

  20. Words -Agricultural Education- (formal name of our program in education) & FFA (Name of the Youth Leadership Opportunity)

  23. Vice President - the Plow

  24. Secretary - the ear of Corn

  25. Advisor - the Owl

  26. Reporter - the American flag (displayed on the shield)

  27. Missing from the emblem are the stations of the Treasurer and Sentinel

  28. Treasurer - Bust of George Washington

  29. Sentinel - Stationed at the Door symbol is the Hand Clasp
