  2. Créée le 07/08/2002, son numéro de décret est le 8323. La Fédération des Municipalités du Chouf el Aala (Le Haut Chouf), regroupe 12 municipalités. Le centre administratif de la Fédération est la localité de Moukhtara. En 2004, la Fédération comptait 18931 résidents, mais le nombre d’inscrits sur ses registres électoraux s’élevait à 31186 personnes. Elle est composée des municipalités de Aammatour, AinQani, Baadarane, Bater, Botme, Haret Jandal, Jbaa,  Khreibeh, MaasserChouf,  Moukhtara, Mristi, Niha.
