  2. The Great Confession • Matthew 16:15-18 - “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven.

  3. The Great Confession • And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”

  4. Two Key Statements • “…flesh and blood has not revealed this…” • “…on this rock I will build my church…”

  6. Resurrection and Life • John 11:43-44 - Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”
