  3. The carolina wolf spider has a gray and brown body. It also has dark center stripes on its abdomen. It has eight unusual dark eyes that are placed in three rows. It has 8 long hairy legs. The length of this spider is 3/4 to 1 3/8 inches.

  5. This spider can be found in South America. It lives in coastal and inland places, shrub lands, woodlands, wet coastal forests and alpine meadows. They also build burrows underground.

  7. The carolina wolf spider eats flightless fruit flies, pinhead crickets, cockroaches, earwigs, ants and beetles.

  9. The carolina wolf spider protects itself by venom bites that are not poisonous. If an animal is bitten, it will swell, have mild pain, and itch.
