  2. Sir Francis Drake Sir Francis Drake lived from 1540–1596.He was the second person to succesfully circumnavigate the world. He was a famous circumnavigator in the time period of 1577 to 1580.

  3. Facts • The famous explorer was from and sailed for England. • Drake was born in Tavistock,England between 1541 and 1543.

  5. About His Life • Drake had two wives but no children. • He married his first wife,Mary Newman,when he was 25. • When Drake was 12 or 13 Drake was at sea with his father.
