  2. Internet2 International Activities • Why? • Ensure global interoperability of new technologies and applications • Enable collaboration between US researchers/faculty/students and non-US colleagues using advanced networking capabilities

I2 International • How? • Form mutually beneficial relationships with organizations with: • similar projects and goals to Internet2 • similar constituencies (institutions of higher education/research) • Establish interconnectivity • international networks come to US to peer • Establish collaborations in technology, applications development activities
