Waste Tire Problem Statement • A significant number of waste tires are generated in the state each year. • Over one-quarter of the annual waste tires generated in the state are disposed of in landfills. • Growth in waste tire markets has not kept pace with generation. • Tire stockpiles could create fires, environmental threats, and health problems.
