Classic Car Insurance is an insurance policy designed to protect classic and antique cars. A classic or an antique car is defined in different ways by different companies. However, the Insurance Information Institute says if a car is at least 25 to 30 years old, then it can be considered as a classic car. <br>To get classic car insurance, your car must qualify as a classic or antique car. What is Classic Car Insurance? • Classic car insurance is a special type of policy designed to protect classic or antique cars. • Classic car is defined in different ways by different carriers, but the Insurance Information Institute says if a car is at least 25 to 30 years old, it can be considered a classic car.

  3. Classic Car vs. Antique Car • To be eligible for classic car insurance, your car must fit one of the following car categories: a. Classic car • A car that is 10 to 24 years old and has historic interest (e.g., a hot rod or muscle car). A hot rod car

  4. b. Antique car • A car that is 25 or more years old and has historic interest. • If a classic car is more than 25 years old, it is considered an antique car. A hot rod car that is older than 25 years

  5. Coverages Available for Your Classic Car 1. Liability • pays for the costs of the other driver’s property and medical injuries if you are “at fault” in an accident. • coverage subject to limits

Medical Payments/No Fault • Pays for the medical bills and funeral expenses if the policyholder, the passengers in his car, or the policyholder's family member is hurt in an auto accident regardless of who is at-fault. Example: • You and your friends were hit by a car while driving to a nearby cinema in your car. • Medical payments coverage will help pay your medical expenses in accordance with the policy.

  7. 3. Comprehensive • Pays for the repair cost or replacement of a covered vehicle that is stolen or damaged by something other than collision or rolling over. Example: • You had your antique car parked in your backyard. During a stormy night, a tree broke and damaged your precious car. • Comprehensive coverage will pay for the repairing of your antique car in this case.

  8. 4. Collision • Pays for the repair or replacement cost when your vehicle has been damaged in a collision with another car or an object. Example: • You were driving your car when you failed to notice a fire hydrant. You ran over it and damaged your car. • Collision insurance pays for the repair of your car in such case.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motor Vehicle • Pays for the repair or replacement of your car if you got in an accident and the driver who hits you does not have any or adequate liability coverage. 6. Emergency Road Service • Pays for the expenses that incurs if your vehicle breaks down while you were on the road. • Covers all the cost until your vehicle is fixed to get back in service.
