The RPL form is available in the VET student handbook.

  4. Complaints and Appeals • If you have a complaint about being deemed not yet competent and negotiation between you and the teacher has not resolved the issue you can lodge a complaint. • If you have been declined RPL for a competency you can appeal this decision also. • Both have forms that you need to fill out and submit to Mrs Clark and can be found in theVET student handbook.

  5. Learner Agreement • Each student upon entering the course must sign the Learner Agreement. You will still do the course work regardless of whether you return the form or not. • Your parents also need to sign this form. • The school keeps a record of those students who returns the agreement. • You will also fill in a commencement form when you are part way through the course as well as a survey when you finish.

  6. Characteristics of a Certificate Learner

  7. How you are assessed • Your work will either demonstrate competency (J) or it will be deemed not yet competent (N). • On your report card at the end of the semester/term one of the following comments will be use to show how you have achieved: • WTC- working towards competency • C- competent • You will also receive one of the following comments on your progress: • {Name} is not yet competent in any units. • {Name} is competent in most units and has units yet to complete. • {Name} is competent in some units but is not yet competent in the remaining units. • {Name} is competent in all units.
