  2. Today’s Agenda • Why restructure the MME to provide for NCRC eligibility? • How was the MME restructured to accomplish this? • How to access career readiness certification information 2

  3. Why? • Ability to quantify the skills of our students and see how they line up with job profiles. • Assessment will identify skill gaps and provide the opportunity for remediation. • Employers will have certification of applicant or employee skill levels. • Individual certification holders will have proof of their ability to apply knowledge to work and future educational endeavors. 3

  4. Restructuring the MME to include tests for the NCRC • Added WorkKeys™ Locating Information • Does this mean a longer MME? • No! • Does WorkKeys LI count for MME? • Yes! 4

  6. Spring 2009 MME Day 2 • Added the WorkKeys™ Locating Information test • Day 2 is now WorkKeys only • Three 45 minute tests • Student eligibility for the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) 6
