  1. My Grace is Sufficient for You! March 3rd

  2. My Grace is sufficient for you • Ephesians 2:8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

  3. My Grace is sufficient for you • 2 Corinthians 127 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

  4. What does Gods Grace give us? • Everything we need to succeed in our walk with Christ and do good works comes from God’s grace. 2 Corinthians 9:8And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. • We receive Christ’s eternal riches from His grace.2 Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. • Grace comes from Jesus and through Jesus; It is from His grace that God pours His blessings upon us. John 1:16-17 16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. [NIV Version From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.]

  5. What does Gods Grace give us? • Grace is not something we receive just the once when we receive His gift of salvation, it is available in abundance! Romans 5:17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.1 Timothy 1:14The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. • Christ’s grace is the vehicle by which He gives us whatever we need to get through that trial, to resist a temptation, to overcome an obstacle. • When we are weak, He gives us His power, • When we are poor, He gives us riches.

  6. Grace means? • Grace = Strong's G5485 – charis • Grace - that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness: grace of speech • good will, loving-kindness, favour • thanks, (for benefits, services, favours), recompense, reward • Now look at the root word for grace • Strong's G5463 – chairō • to rejoice, be glad • to rejoice exceedingly • to be well, thrive

  7. Application • Galations 5 *16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. *17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. *18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. • When we walk in the flesh…basically, we reject the Grace of Jesus v 4 • If I am walking in the Spirit I am putting to death the flesh…and it hurts!! • If I am weak, that means I am giving up my flesh and allowing His grace to transform me

  8. Application • Confess my heart 1 John 1:9 • Thank Him for everyone and everything in the trial (regardless of whether I see them as being for me or against me!) • Worship him, regardless of the fact I feel like a hypocrite in this particular case. • THE RESULT…when I do this, I do things I didn’t think I could, I have strength I have peace…in any other trial I would have whatever I need for the trial to help me overcome • When we go through trials we often have all of our strengths, supports, stripped away • Why is His Grace enough for me…because His grace is His gift to us…His gift to us is Him!

  9. Application “You can never learn that Christ is all you need, until Christ is all you have.” ― Corrie ten Boom
