By: Mr. Radford The final verdict for the trial of Joan of Arc was decided today. It was ruled that the heretic and French war hero Joan of Arc was to be burned at the stake. "It was a horrible day for all of France." Said a peasant woman just outside of Paris. "She got what was coming to her." said an English priest. When she was a young peasant girl, Joan said that she heard voices from heaven that she claimed put her on a knight's crusade to defeat the invasions by the English. She dressed as a knight and joined the French army against the British. "She was the pride of France." Said a French noblewoman. Even though Joan successfully lead the French against the English forces she was captured and put on trail. The verdict was delivered this morning that Joan was to be put to death by being burned alive. Reports indicate this is why women are afraid of being burned to death as their worst fear.
