  1. Angles and Their Measures Objective: Students will be able to convert between linear and angular speed and recall knowledge of angle and radian measures

  2. Angles Degrees measured from 0 to 360 around a circle Radian is in terms of pi based on the radius of a circle

  3. Converting from Degree to Radian You should know this forwards and backwards

  4. Example How many radians are in 90 degrees? How many degrees are in pi/3 radians?

  5. Circular Arc Length How long the part of the circle are is between 2 radii

  6. Example Find the perimeter of a 60 degree slice of a large 7 in radius pizza

  7. Example The running lanes at the Emery Sears track are 1 meter wide. The inside radius of lane 1 is 33 meters and the inside radius of land 2 is 34 meters. How much longer is land 2 than lane 1 around one turn?

  8. Homework Pg 356 25,27,33,35,45 Honors Take notes and describe how to do Degree Minutes and Seconds and Nautical miles on same sheet as notes do problem3,8,43 due 1 week
