Sustainability at Teck • “In 2010, we will develop our sustainability leadership initiative across the company, to maintain and enhance our social license to operate.” • Don Lindsay – 2010 Annual Report • When deciding whether to do something, Dr. Keevil always asks: • “Does this make us a better company?” • Maybe we can add a second question to this frame of thinking: • “Does this make the world a better place?” • Decisions should incorporate these questions going forward.

Communities consider themselves better off as a result of their interactions with us and offer broad support for our efforts.” • Corporate goal of donating 1% of EBIT based on a five year rolling average - $25 million donated in 2011
