  1. Cub Scout Pack 104Arlington, VA

  2. Pack 104 serves the Clarendon, Courthouse, Ashton Heights, Lyon Park, Penrose & Arlington Heights neighborhoods • Our scouts attendKey, Long Branch, Patrick Henry, & St. Charles elementary schools • We are hosted by the Clarendon United Methodist Church • We are the longest-serving pack in Arlington (since 1937)

  3. What can young boys learn from scouting?

  4. Packs are divided into dens by grade: • Tiger den: 1st Grade • Wolf den: 2nd Grade • Bear den: 3rd Grade • Webelos dens: 4th and 5th Grade • Dens typically get together twice a month for advancement and other fun/educational activities • The pack holds meetings ~10 times a year for advancement, recognition, and other business

  5. We go camping…

  6. We serve our community… • Four times a year, Pack 104 picks up litter on Irving St. around the Clarendon United Methodist Church. • Dens have also cleaned the grounds of our elementary schools • Every year Pack 104 joins with Boy Scout Troop 104 to collect canned food for donation to local charities. This past November, 2,578lbs of canned food were collected.

  7. We learn about teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy, fun competition… The annual Pinewood Derby is every pack’s most exciting project, with kids (and sometimes parents) building and racing cars for pack bragging rights and a chance to compete at the District level

  8. We learn about our community, history, and public service…

  9. We play and learn at the same time…

  10. We have year-round activities to keep our scouts continually engaged • Week-long camping, Goshen, VA • Two-night Resident camp, Camp Snyder • Hikes • Potomac Nationals Scout Night & overnight camping • Bike Rodeo • Scouts Day, Nationals Park • Fall Campout, Camp Snyder • Bonfire, Lacey Woods Park • Scouting for Food • Movie Night • Pinewood Derby • Blue & Gold Banquet • Spring Campout • Adopt-a-Street project • Ice Cream Social
