English Learner Advisory Committee. ELAC. What is ELAC. Each school with 21 or more English learners (El’s) must form an ELAC committee.
Participate in discussions and workshops designed to help you identify the most effective way to support your student.
The following items are required by the State. ELAC advices the school on the following:
Review the results of the Language Census/R30 report (language assessment, identification & re-designation)
Advise the principal and staff on the school programs and services provided to El’s
Advise the school (and SSC in writing) on the development of the School Plan (SPSA) and the budget
