  8. Running applications (I) • Ion Kinetic Transport (ISDEP) Following independent particle orbits in a fixed plasma background. (106 orbits=jobs)x10 - 20 min Based on gLite scripts. Random parameters for every orbit. No matter if some jobs are missed • Massive Ray Tracing (MaRaTra). Simulating microwave beams by rays (105 rays=jobs) x 40 min No jobs can be lost. Gridway is used to distribute the jobs.

  9. Running applications (II) • Stellarator Optimization. Choosing the best configuration Using a genetic algorithm. GIF Portal (105 configurations=jobs) x 40 min • Optimization of Reflectometry system for ITER.
