  2. I. Graduate Business Professional Fees • Assigned time for course development and the topic of research methodology across the curriculum or a specific course in research. (Dr. Lee and Dr. Yang) - elective course (once a year) - independent studies by each dept - series of seminars for graduate students 2) Research fellowships for up to six quarters for top students maintaining academic qualification and conducting joint student-faculty research (to be overseen by the graduate committee). (Dr. Yang) - GMAT (e.g.650) - G.P.A - Work experience - Essay or writing test Suggestion 1: GMAT score + 200*GPA. If applicants have the same scores, then consider work experience and essay. Suggestion 2: GMAT score + 200* GPA + 100 for work experience + 100 for essay.

  3. 3) Support for system and processes for students in overall programs so that graduate students will graduate with portfolios of competencies and knowledge. (Dr. Yang)

  4. II. Global issues in graduate curriculum - new criteria of accreditation. Challenges come from • Strong and growing global economic forces • Differences in organizational and cultural values • Cultural diversity among employees and customers • Changing technology in products and processes In this environment, management education must prepare students to contribute to their organizations and the larger society and to grow personally and professionally throughout their careers. The objective of management education accreditation is to assist programs to meet these challenges

PROJECT & THESIS:  Adding the word “thesis” to the title description of Admn 998 (0)  Graduate Project/Thesis”.  At the moment the language in Admn 998 is flexible enough to allow for the thesis , but it will show on the transcript as “graduate project”.  To allow the “thesis”  to be recognized on the transcript the change in title has to be made.  To do this: The Graduate Committee needs to approve this change and send it to the Curriculum Committee IV. AoLfollow up (Dr. Lee Hanson) V. MBA program admission standard and Disqualified MBA students. (Dr. Lin and Beth, Director)
